Yes that’s what enemies in a war do. I’m not saying that blm shouldn’t exist, should use different tactics, or anything else. I’m saying that they got beat on messaging because they objectively did.
You guys are so used to getting crushed on messaging that you assume it will always be so. This is like talking frontal attacks with horrific casualties with ww1 generals.
I’m telling you that them winning the propaganda war isn’t automatic. Read AOCs tweets like a strategist playing a game. She’s not losing shit and the way she defuses their talking points in an easy to understand way is masterful. We need to understand what she’s doing on a first principles level so we can stop them from all lives mattering us.

This reminds me of the idiot on Reddit a year or two ago who cashed out his $100k 401k because he was “only” getting a 20% return on it so he could invest the money all in Bitcoin right before it dropped from $20k to $7k and ended up losing everything and owing something like $50k in taxes because of when he timed the transactions.

I think I posted this on 2+2, but a colleague of my wife’s was sitting on about 1.5 million euros of bitcoin at its peak, and all from a few grand because she got in very early. She wanted to cash out but spoke to an accountant who told her she’d owe income tax on the profit, and she somehow got the impression this was because the French authorities didn’t ‘get’ bitcoin, and that if she waited she’d be able to keep the lot.
I tried to explain that being taxed on the profit of investments was 100% standard and it being via income tax is the norm in France, but she wasn’t having any of it. She’s still rich (~600 grand today if she’d done her sums right, I think) but she may never cash out!

I didn’t mean the talk about Russia’s hypersonic missiles is dangerous because any of this tech would be really secret secret. Surely both governments are some level know whether or not either side has this. It is dangerous because the drumbeat about how dangerous an adversary is dangerous.
