Wasn’t just her, a lot of them said similar remarks. Only reason to hold on to them really is either a) you think it’s politically going to backfire hard or b) to troll trump by making small increments to take up the news cycle. House has basically no leverage here though.
Some of this is defending their fellow senators from having to get fucked during the primary which dems don’t want that to overshadow it either.

Republicans are a mix of conservatives, reactionaries, and fascists with maybe a couple libertarians. They had the tea party and the “RINO” thing. They aren’t always in lock step.

Yea and I’m definitely bitching to the choir here, she just pisses me off more than most because she’s so damn old and so damn rich thanks to her husband the venture capitalist or whatever, and yet here she is stymieing progress and siding with Republicans (like she’s done before).
Maybe not. Lee has been pretty consistent afaik on his antiinterventionist stuff. He and Bernie worked together on legislation to block US involvement in the Yemen war (it actually passed the Senate and House, of course vetoed by Trump). He also doesn’t have as much motivation as the typical Republican reptile to slurp Trump’s ass, since Utah is not that Trumpy (e.g. Mitt Romney defeated his MAGAtard primary opponent in 2018 by 45 points).
