If she doesn’t hold on until Feb 2021, Moscow Mitch ramming through a super conservative justice will be one of the most enraging things of this presidency so far.

I am starting to think something is up with all these “retirements” in the GOP.

Bonus fact:
Only a little over half of Iranians are actually Persian. Lots of Azerbaijani, Kurds and other minorities.

Based on his position in the administration and being from Kerman province Qasem Soleimani is most likely ethnically Persian, but interestingly enough both his first and last name are of Arabic origin. (Suleiman means “man of peace” in Arabic actually)

Like 2 weeks ago the Pentagon got caught lying about Afghanistan for (checks notes) 18 years. Today, media dutifully runs “imminent threat” headlines.

Also lol at the narrative that somehow whacking the Iranian equivalent of the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff would ever be something you could justify to prevent an ‘immediate threat’. You beef up the security near where the imminent threat is going to be… there was a next man up for this guys role 30 seconds after he died. This didn’t disrupt shit.

Not read it because why waste braincells, but there appears to be some numbskull in the Guardian who’s written an opinion article today saying this move conflicts with Trump’s famed anti war and anti foreign entanglements policies. Fuck me.
