Donating on election day…definitely shows it’s about helping a campaign to reach people and nothing like a corrupt pay for play scheme. Also LOL at the 10k donation from the genius brain real estate magnate who can’t bother to learn a thing about a legal contribution. When you are wealthy idiot, why not go with a nice round number that feels right?

As people point out in responses, being a Board member is just a part time job. But you are right that they are paid way more than the $8,300 per month. Director compensation is public information for issuers of public securities, so you can read all about it if you want. See page 25 of the document here:
Most of the board makes about $330,000 in compensation for their board activities. The outlier is the CEO.
