What about states that now allow ballots which are postmarked by election day? Surely they can’t allow in-person voting for people who have mailed their votes?
It would depend on how the laws are written in those states I guess. I doubt they’d try to prosecute though. Most likely they would just toss the mail-in ballot on arrival…though it’s not a good look to show up on Election Day and vote AND mail a ballot also on Election Day so good question
Lol no, it will depend on whether the vote was for an R or a D
The way they do it in CA is if you show up to a polling place without your mail in ballot (for whatever reason), you get a provisional ballot, which is counted later. If they receive your mail in ballot, they toss the provisional one.
Barr and Trump seem to have no awareness of the safeguards in place to prevent voter fraud in regard to mail-in voting. They should educate themselves. I’m certain there are quite a few measures in place.
Since the deplorables will vote in-person at a much higher rate, could scores of idiot Trumpers possibly cause massive queues at white dominated polling places?
I’ve walked into a line of 5-10 people at the most every time I’ve voted here.
I, too, am white.

I wonder if anyone will take him up on the offer?
Narrator?
Again, it’s a huge win for Trump to just slow down the process of counting these votes. The longer it takes and the more chaos there is, the better his chances of holding onto power one way or another.
C’mon man. You want it to be one way, but it’s the other way. MarloStanfield.gif
Arnold’s questions are going unanswered.
I assumed Chippa was leveling there
Wouldn’t be the first time something sailed one level over my head.
He makes a good point. AOC needs to hurry up and get old enough.
Honestly I dont see her being speaker till the progressive movement grows. Until then I’d settle for a non dinosaur like Schiff even though hes a moderate. He would be way better imo
Agreed.
She’d make SUCH a good speaker though. But hell, 2/3 of the caucus would be an improvement over Nancy. Every time CNN or MSDNC has her on, I find myself nodding along while she talks, both as though I’m agreeing with her and as though she’s sitting in front of my and I’m urging her to wrap it the fuck up. She’s wholly inarticulate and one of the worst public speakers ever to sit in that chair. Dennis Hastert was better ffs.
What about finding a non-rep to be speaker?
I’m not sure who to be quite honest, but maybe somebody running the show who isnt actually in the house would be a good idea.
I accept, albeit reluctantly.
