Any idiot that buys the “no big deal” story from a president that needed to be airlifted from a place where he was getting competent medical care above and beyond what most of us could get in our local hospitals to a world class hospital and be admitted for days/weeks isn’t salvageable anyway.

I’m the farthest thing from a Trump stan, but I think that moving the president to Walter Reed if he tests positive is completely reasonable. Even if he is asymptomatic. They should want to take every possible precaution and have anything they could possibly need available at the drop of a hat.
So Trump’s COVID being “no big deal” is certainly in the range of possibilities that follow from “Trump was taken to Walter Reed”. I’m not saying it’s true. But it is possible. Plausible, even.

We’ll likely never know what exactly happenned. However we went from “trump has some mild symptoms and will convalesce at the whitehouse” Friday morning to “We are airlifting the President to the Hospital” Friday afternoon. There is no way it was just done out of “an abundance of caution.”

Does it? Being a racist didn’t hurt his election prospects a lot. Being a misogynist didn’t hurt his prospects. Being an adulterer didn’t hurt them. Being a serial sexual harasser didn’t hurt them. Being a narcissistic compulsive liar didn’t hurt his electability whatsoever.
I’m willing to believe I’m just jaded at this point, but I don’t really see how getting infected with an illness that his supporters don’t think is a big deal in the first place really does a whole lot. The people who are about to pull the lever for him are convinced that Biden is far less healthy TODAY.
I know 536 and the polls say Biden is winning, but we’ve been through this once before, and I don’t know that I’m convinced that the polls this time around have figured out how to capture the shy Trumpkins.
