You would think so but considering the fragility of American democracy right know I think that Trump dying before the election, and the ensuing chaos, could be worse than just having the election and dealing with the fallout (hopefully not literally nuclear fallout). Like 50%+ of Republicans, egged on by Russia via Facebook, will 100% believe Trump was murdered by deep state liberals.

Sure, the margin will be much higher in DC, but the actual probability of a Biden win is exactly the same in DC as it is in California or Vermont or New York: 100%
Yes you can, but PI charges a 10 percent VIG on withdrawals, so nobody is going to be like “ooh, I can make 6 cents per dollar by depositing money and buying California.” It makes the market very inefficient. Only somebody who already had money on PI would buy into it for that reason.

I don’t understand this take. The debates are the highest rated shows on television, he is the star, and he thinks he does well in them. I don’t see where he personally wants out of them. It’s everything he craves.
Now, I’m starting to see where they are setting up a TV address today to show how he’s fine, in charge, etc. So maybe they see an opportunity to craft their own controlled high-ratings TV appearances over this, but I can’t imagine his address is getting 65 million viewers like the debate did.
He’s bailed out of debates before, and who knows what he really thinks about his performance in the last one. Even Fox News is calling it a disaster.
I don’t think wanting to avoid debates justifies the trade-off of killing your narrative about mask-wearing being optional, and let’s all get back to work.
