Trump’s brand is actually pretty secular compared to guys like W Bush or Romney. Right wing butters are more likely to get into Qanon conspiracy stuff than religion.

This Woodward story/book is exactly what the doctor ordered, and perfect timing. He’s got receipts, there goes another week or so with Trump completely on the defensive as absentee ballots start rolling in.

It is motivated enough that they will 100% vote 3rd party if Republicans don’t pander to them. Republicans are already skimming by on the electoral college and voter suppression. They can’t afford to loose religious nutters.
Edit: This is only a small fraction of republican voters, imo. 10% at most, the rest of the party opposes abortion to go along with the crowd.

I have an example from facebook a couple weeks ago, lady told me that she would never vote democrat because of abortion, because allowing abortion makes people think that life is not as precious or something like that and that leads to not caring about other lives being important either and that she could see this in the kids these days yada yada yada,
I explained to her that abortion would never be illegal in this country regardless of roe v wade, at worst it would only be red states banning it and blue keeping it and people would just go to blue states to have it done or get them back alley style, none of it mattered to her.
Its free votes for GOP because they will always vote GOP for something that can’t ever happen, meaning abortions banned nationwide, outside of Handmaids tale scenario obv.
Also someone mentioned how there are less abortions with dems cuz you know sex education, birth control but nah they dont care about that either
