I don’t know but please let us know whats up and how you are.

We called there was a shift change and also plasma is 4 hours so not surprised no call. New gal says plasma seems to be working! and we’re hopeful he can make it through the night, get his ultrasound, and then get surgery and maybe its just a non cancerous growth I mean its so fast IDK. And now to get drunk. I’m doing ok, wife is not, he’s more her cat anyways but yeah wow this sucks.

Cats are super notorious for hiding pain/discomfort as long as possible, so this may be something he has been struggling with for a bit that you would have no way of knowing, which may make it seem like its onsetting really fast. Fingers triple crossed that he pulls through, Grue.

Mo has passed away. He was a very, very good cat. A year or two after I met my now wife we went to the humane society. We met 3 kittens, all orange tabbies. 1st was fine, 2nd was very skittish, 3rd started purring the second we touched him. We took him home. He loved us tons. Loved laying on either of our laps, and then ~15 minutes later, demanded we pull up the blanket to get under it and fall asleep on us. We had 13 years with him.

So sorry to hear.

Im sorry bud. We had never heard the term “velcro kitty” until after Oscar passed, but it seems to describe the Orange tabbys perfectly. He always wanted to be by our side, just like Mo. Those are the times I look back on and smile about now a year later. Still miss the little guy every day.

You mentioned above that he was more your wife’s cat than yours, which is very smiliar to how things were with Oscar. Please wish her the best. Its gonna be a hard few weeks. Remember, the grief comes in waves and they get smaller and smaller each time, but a lot of it will hit you and her out of absolute nowhere.

Good luck, let us know if you need anything.

RIP Mo.

I am really sorry for your loss, that is difficult out of nowhere like that.

Mine’s struggling due to fireworks going off every night. She hasn’t eaten much in a week but today seems to have an appetite. Sedatives are only doing so much - these explosions are quite loud and will be happening for weeks. She worried me the other night by vomiting up white, clearish liquid, which I guess is just stomach acid. Her weight is still ok, she’s down a tad, but I’m trying to look up the highest calorie density foods I can for her that she’ll actually decide to eat.

Our vet recommend Nutri-cal as something high caloric and that might “prime the pump” to get our cat to eat. If kitty won’t eat it on her own, you could open her mouth and smear it on the roof with your finger, if she’s the type who will allow that without inflicting deadly injury on you. (Thankfully ours were).

ETA: or sometimes you can smear it on their paw and they’ll want to lick it off to get clean.

thanks i just ordered some.

As you can tell from his expression, I’ve apparently trained my dog well to have the same feelings as me about patriotism! Lol

I left my plate sitting with a half eaten sausage on it and went outside for an hour. I come back in and this good girl has been sitting staring at it the whole time, but never ate it. She got it as a reward. Molly will be 9 in a few months and is the best dog imaginable.

yes she is

Damn! For most other dogs I’d be wondering if they were OK and be contemplating a trip to the vet.

My dogs think Molly is a chump. We just had some snarling over a minuscule crumb of a peanut butter biscuit.

My dog would sniff it for 20 seconds and realize he’s torturing himself, walk away, groan loudly, and lie down.
