It’s becoming increasingly obvious that the chihuahua thinks we control the weather and sulks and glares at us when it’s cold and/or wet outside.

So we adopted a 3rd dog. She was bred to be a fox hunter, except she’s scared of horses. And everything else it seems. Never been around humans, and wants to keep it that way apparently. I’ll post a pic as soon as I get close enough to take one.
Jake wouldn’t let us pet him for a couple of months. Then he would let himself get trapped on the couch for petting.
Now he whacks my hand if the petting doesn’t start promptly.
One strategy we used was take some time where he had to be in the room with us and then we didn’t pay attention to him. Just watched TV.
Not all the time, just an hour or two here and there. Good for them to have their own private spot most of the time.
Thanks. It was a tough day. It’s been a really surreal week. Any other time I’d be escaping into a video game or movie to avoid the news of WW3. Instead I was escaping into the Ukraine thread/twitter/world news to avoid thinking about losing my pup. My brain is so fucked up right now.

Sorry man, I lost my girl Sunshine about a year ago to a similar situation. It’s an awful feeling. I still cry like a baby sometimes. old pictures and videos of her have are cherished treasures, now.

That looks way more like a gun dog than a beagle
We think he’s got English Pointer in him. Head markings, body shape… the fact that he literally points…
His mom was a beagle, so we know that. Attitude/nose is full beagle. I’ve certainly embraced the hound personality in him. The first face mask I bought for covid had beagles all over it.
I have a good eye for these things and I am 100% sure that is a beagle mixed with an angel.
