My Dad and Grandfather were at Game 7 in 1950 when Wings won in double OT. They were there for the initial captain picking up the cup overhead tradition. Iirc correctly he then put it back down. The passing the cup started (I think) after their ‘54 cup.

What a disappointing last 90 seconds. You have to pull thr goalie when youre taking a million shots with 2:30 left
