? his junior year was better, 69.2% comp 24 TD 5 INT better QBR a full yard better Y/A and ANY/A
stat wise alone slam dunk #1 overall pick
film didn’t really show it though to me–he threw too many jump balls that he knew his team would probably get and they did but everyone’s film was flawed somewhere, and nobody was great year 1 from that class. We’ll see.
the bears threw fields into a fire, and are going to start the 5th rounder at left tackle, upside is there for the tackle but jeez
Lol @ calling a billionaire white guy a cracker. I wonder if everyone in the room was laughing or just most of the people. Should have called him an heir or said he wasn’t self made.
ironic enough, tampa was the one place that made sense to skip him, florida is the easiest to kick a ball, punt god isn’t good at pinning people inside the 20 cause he booms the darn thing into the end zone from anywhere
god I don’t know why chicago didn’t grab him though, only time they’re ever good is when the O blows and the D is fantastic, the O blows and they needed a new punter anyway, oh sure the D blows too but dang it we can hope one day… and it blows in that stadium, a strong leg would be very beneficial
of course that guy tampa drafted struggled on a punt today
weirdly enough, if buffalo doesn’t decide to just go for it at the 50 or so or better every time, could roster two punters in say a playoff game anyway if punt god still isn’t pinning teams well.
the other guy was taken by the ravens who well have experience with good finesse punting and took the guy who was good at that instead, leg alone though is one of those things you just kinda do and try to work everything out later if you have to. Kinda how the first overall pick went.
Some teams though, if the punter booms it too far the coach is mad you out kicked the coverage and he didn’t hold kicks in college. Little shit like that mattered to some teams.
sure the bears are gonna suck but at least they didn’t waste a ton of money for it (it’s all tied up in dead cap cause of previous failures but hey not this season)
I can’t find a great source, but my friend says Aqib Taleb was coaching some youth football and got in an argument with the other coach and Aqib’s brother just shot the other coach in the head and murdered him.
If some dude getting popcorn getting thrown at him gets off, Yaqub would ordinarily have an easy time coming up with why he “feared for his life”. Too bad he’s black. And Muslim.
there’s a TMZ video in that link, not a direct shot but you can see someone arguing with refs then it pans out to other guys arguing then two guys are swinging at each other, one guy (aqib’s bro (I think???)) is just throwing everything he can find at whoever that was and a little after that you hear bang bang bang
that is going to be a tough defense for aqib’s brother, a video (though you can’t tell it’s him who’s shooting in the video but it didn’t appear anyone was under any sort of fearing for his life situation and at least 20 people saw it, so if he indeed pulled and shot, that’s not gonna be disputed who did it) and plenty of witnesses and in front of a bunch of kids, yikes I would vote for a murder conviction based on what I just saw.
