They may be better than Skylar Thompson or Tyler Huntley, but none of those other guys are leading this Miami Dolphins team to a championship. (Tua wasn’t going to either, but yeah, Andy Dalton is just going to move you back from Pick 5 to Pick 10 in the draft).

Only if there’s a good one available though, otherwise they should take a punter to maintain 1.01 equity for the following year.
There haven’t been any locks in a while. Trevor Lawrence was the last lock and he’s been decent but sort of average. Same with Burrow. I am convinced that QB talent in general is just down league wide. I’m not 100% buying that it’s just defenses figuring shit out as the best QBs continue to put up decent numbers.
I get that good backup QBs are pretty rare and the experienced good ones like Dalton and Flacco are going to be $5mil/year. Outside of the Chiefs who are like the one team in the NFL right now where “just let the QB carry us” is a legitimate plan, the other 31 teams, or at least the rest of the good ones, still have a fighting chance with a respectable backup. Not having a decent backup in place is borderline malpractice IMO.

Was it here that I saw the tweet that showed that Danny Dimes and Trevor have almost identical stats? Sunshine such a huge bust, but shows how important marketing is to the perception of good vs. trash.

The point of a good back-up isn’t to lead you to a ring, it’s to keep you afloat while the starter injured so you can still make the playoffs/get a better seed. GB going 2-0 with Willis is a big boost to their playoff odds.

QBs drafted near the top go to shitty teams. Some come in with a new coach, new system that works out. The majority do not. It’s hard to say how many were essentially underdeveloped to their potential based on shitty situations.
I doubt a Brady or Mahomes type was “lost” but some top 15ish guys have gotten buried. Heck the JETS have two alumni out there making the case for at least decent status after looking like busts in NY (Geno and Sam).

He wants both teams to wear white? That would be a bit confusing wouldn’t it? Or he wants the visitors to wear dark uniforms? That pretty much ditches his player safety argument doesn’t it? Somebody has to wear darker uniforms. He wants them to switch at the last minute so that the home team can be cooler? Is that it?

On a somewhat related note, I remember a situation where the visiting team brought the wrong color uniforms by accident. So the home team had to change to accommodate. Visitors were fined. Seems like a decent angleshoot opportunity for 100 deg days.
I could see someone trying that on the Dolphins if they were actually any good. Also this year they have very few early season home games during the day.
Expanding on this, it seems dumb AF unless I’m missing something. They’re playing the cards who I only recall seeing in red and white. Possibly black. So if 9ers get white then AZ has to wear red. And that’s a big safety win.
Aren’t too many light vs light options. White vs Charger’s light blue. That would probably work. Maybe Broncos Orange also.

He is currently writing a massive book on Tupac which I am still not sure about but he gives some behind the scenes of his process and he has put in the work. He wrote winning time, he wrote biographies on Bo Jackson, Walter Payton, Brett Favre, he has pissed off john rocker, he wrote about the Mets the last time they won it all.
I wouldn’t take that tiktok as an example of his work, I just thought it was funny.
