Ian Rappaport does not report the mutual decision aspect.

That is kind of weird

Purdy in concussion protocol. Looks like we’ll be ringing in another Sam Darnold era.

KAEPERNICK IS BACK IN!

He was barely playing anyways. I’m going to guess that had a lot to do with it.

Yeah he was the oldest receiver in the NFL and was really just brought in as an extra body to ride out the Jameson Williams suspension. Now that Jamo is back he was probably going to be a healthy scratch and thought nah it’s time to retire. He’s a cool guy though, I’m happy for him, he had a great career.

Julio’s 34 and sort of back but only 33 is the oldest in the NFL is a bit odd. One of the speedsters usually still bounces around till mid 30s.

but this is a new era, the punters and kickers are gone by age 40 nowadays. Aaron Rodgers is the 2nd oldest player in the NFL and he’s still not 40.

Fuck

On target throw percentage:

Main reason Dak is up there is his average pass has gotten much shorter this year in the “Texas Coast” offense.

It’s impressive that by so many metrics the last like 7 years Patrick Mahomes is in a class of his own.

Mahomes is the best, but also very sneakily has become a check down guy, which inflates this stat a bit. He’s the third lowest average depth of target in the NFL (only Burrow and Daniel Jones are lower)

With ADOT:
Mahomes 6.73
Dak 6.89
Goff 6.85
Cousins: 7.35
Allen: 8.42
Tua: 7.68
Jones: 6.42
Hurts: 8.9
Lawrence: 7
Russell Wilson: 7.24

WTF with Burrow, he was really low last year, too.

Its kinda odd not to see Purdy on either of those lists

Burrow was saying in a recent interview that one of the trends is defenses being focused on not alloying big plays and forcing everything to go under and string long drives together. Claimed that’s a reason why scoring and total possessions are down.

That’s an old trend. Guess they ran out of of ideas.

It just runs in circles. Tampa 2 was en vogue for a long time then teams started playing a lot of single high again.

current rumors are if the commanders lose to the eagles, the bears may trade a 2nd round pick for a sometimes loafer named Chase? Jeez.
