The NFL Thread 2: 1. T Swift

Don’t care if he gains 400 more pounds. Lions going to gobble him up at 6

3 drafts in a row dudes just fall to us

Would Jets really be willing to wait till June 1 to finalize the trade? Seems they’d want him on the roster as soon as possible - especially given how flakey he is. Is it common that team agree to a big trade, but wait till June to finalize?

When it comes to NFL franchises that spend freely to win, I do not have the Jets all that high. But even then, June 1 still gets him into training camp, and I don’t know how much you can get Rodgers to do at this point before then.

Fuck this guy. All of this manufactured living in darkness drama so he can emerge from the cave and do the “I’m not saying I’m mad, but I’m mad” routine. He loves to go radio silent, feed people bad info, then suddenly appear to claim everything is fake news.

Rooting against Rodgers is going to be so fun this year.

Orlando Brown Jr. bet on himself… and lost.

Maybe he just likes cigars and Super Smash Bros a lot.

Lmfao god you’re insufferable in the nfl thread (enjoy most of your posts otherwise). According to over the cap he’s the 11th highest paid LT in the league and he gets to play the same position his Dad did, which is cool and apparently important to him. Oh and he went to a contender so he might have a chance to stick it to his old team in the playoffs. Seems like he made out ok.

It’s more guaranteed money, same signing bonus as Chiefs offer from last year. Chiefs Planet seems really confused. They’re suddenly saying this guy is a huge liability and will struggle to protect a QB that holds onto the ball forever. Burrow had the 2nd fastest time to throw last year behind Brady.

All they needed to ship b2b Super Bowls were a couple of linemen who weren’t XFL backups, and they couldn’t clear that pathetically low bar. Even if Brown isn’t really a top top echelon LT, this is quite an upgrade if Adeniji never plays another high-leverage snap.

He turned this down the year before. It was really $95 million over five years.

I don’t have anything against the guy. I was just pointing out that he bet on himself big, and lost. It’s always interesting when players make big bets on themselves instead of taking the bird in hand, like Lamar is doing now. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.

He didn’t even get an agent until like a week before the deadline last year, and then he hired some guy who had no other clients, on purpose, so that he wouldn’t have a conflict of interest.

Orlando said many times that he wanted to be the top paid LT in the league - which is kind of a weird goal to be so public about imo. He turned down top-5 LT money for middle of the pack LT money a year later. Supposedly the Bears wanted him to play RT.

He also kinda regressed this year and had to be helped a lot. He got insta-beat a few times in big spots, including the play that ended the regular season Bengals game and the play that injured Mahomes in the playoffs. He did play well in the Superbowl on the shitty field.

But generally top LTs don’t have to be helped a lot. The Chiefs apparently weren’t interested at all after this year. Seems like they picked up a guy who’s a better pass blocker but worse run blocker. He might be a better fit for their offense.

Also the Chiefs really really need to pick up a speed rusher now. He does well against power. Speed is his kryptonite.

Is it not fun every year?

(I guess it’s less fun when he wins)

I’ve been a Lions fan my whole life and while there haven’t been a lot of great moments, knocking Rodgers out of the playoffs in week 18, in GB, on prime time, and having his final throw as a packer being an INT, will be a moment that will be very hard to top.

I don’t think too many people were that concerned about any actual legal trouble or that a single street racing incident, even though it ended tragically, is a huge reflection on his character and ability to play pro football.

Now him showing up out of shape for a workout that’s usually designed to make him look good however…

I was liking him for Detroit at 6 and still sort of am as he scratches a huge need itch, the latest CBS mock has him falling to 9 and I can’t say I’d blame them for passing on him at 6 if they feel there’s risk there.

Campbell says they look at tape fuck the combine

Dude is elite and we don’t have that at DT

Be so mad it they pass on him and take some random DE from Texas tech.

This dude is somehow going to fall to Belichick.

Lions aren’t passing on him

Welp, delete my post lol

gee, I sure can’t imagine why his entire family doesn’t speak to him anymore but playing off it (everyone is so mean to me) works on ladies too he’s laughing at everyone with this shit and winning from it.

An article just dropped that goes through everything in detail.
