That move from 4->3 is also huge in not having to go straight to GB the next week if they win and no lower seeds bink a win. Tampa not much fun either but a way better matchup given how banged up they are.

Real chance Dallas gets a home game in round 2- Philly got to rest and their offense has been good the second half of the season. Iā€™m skeptical of Tampaā€™s ability to stop anyone who isnā€™t Sam Darnold or Taysom Hill. Their defensive numbers look good because theyā€™d had an incredible schedule of offensive cupcakes.

Gettleman to ā€œretire.ā€

Same thing the Giants did with Tom Coughlin.

Iā€™d argue that Coughlin deserved the privilege. Gettleman is a piece of shit.

My Twitter says Marvin Lewis is trending. :eyes:

Dude had a career winning record in Cincinnati over 16 seasons with this QB breakdown (regular season starts / (% of starts under Lewis)):

Red ROFL 120 (46.9%)
Carson Palmer 97 (37.9%)
Jon Kitna 19 (7.4%)
Fitzmagic 12 (4.7%)
Jeff Driskel 5 (1.9%)
AJ McCarron 3 (1.2%)

Regular season record: 131-122-3
Postseason record: 0-7

Iā€™m gonna quote this part because even as someone who still follows the Bengals I had to double check to make sure it was correct:

For sure. Coughlin RANGed twice, ffs. You donā€™t just kick him to the curb after that. Doesnā€™t even matter how bad he was at the end.

Judge has the curse of basically every former Belichick assistant of being a shit head coach but a competent assistant. He was an uninspiring hire from the start and I hope heā€™s fired.

Mara already supposedly already said heā€™s bringing back Judge (and Daniel Jones lol) but who knows if the really pitiful showing down the stretch affects that. Unfortunately for Giants fans I think the injuries are gonna work as an excuse that the team couldnā€™t ā€œproperly be evaluatedā€ or whatever.

Yeah but that was last yearā€™s excuse that kept Jones and Judge employed. Using it again would be absurd.

Which is probably why it will happen.

I can see bringing Jones back in a way, since thereā€™s nobody good in this draft anyway, and they probably already have a pretty good idea that guys like Russell Wilson have zero interest in coming. Might as well roll with Jones and see if something clicks, worst that happens is you delay cleaning house by another year and maybe have a nice pick for a QB in 2023.

What competent GM is gonna take over a team where theyā€™ll get overruled by a currently existing HC and not be able to get a new QB?

Giants GM position will not be a desirable one.

Giants love to hire from within anyway. Do that and slap an ā€œinterimā€ title on him or something, if he pulls off a miracle then keep everybody, when he doesnā€™t, nuke everything from orbit.

Yup and if Gettleman was the top exec then I canā€™t imagine how bad everyone below him is.

People need to start hiring GMs from more unconventional areas. Get some guy from PFF or OTC to run your team. Probably be just as well off if not better.

Gonna be hilarious when more teams hire coaches / front office personnel from a tree that is now 71-79 without Tom Brady at QB.

Ryan Poles seems like an interesting candidate. Ziegler ainā€™t going anywhere though.

Some of these are pretty good,

Worth the read. Roethlisberger and Carr both got me.
