Tons of great memories watching Madden broadcasts with my dad. Rip.

Being a Cowboys fan I got to see more than my share of memories of madden calling their games. He is totally entwined with many of my best memories of football.
Even when I was fortunate to go to a game, I would come home and watch the broadcast on this ancient contraption called a VCR.
If youād asked me a few weeks ago if John Madden was still alive, I would have struggled to say for sure. Now itās so strange, knowing he really is gone.
Might be an argument against NFL Blitz existing (oh boy you could not make that game now), but do they just think that you couldnāt make a video game out of the biggest sport league in the world?
I donāt really get that tweet. How many concussions were prevented by kids playing Madden instead of real football?

I liked Madden as a broadcaster. He wasnāt the most insightful commentator but he had personality and a lot of charisma. RIP
Maddenās greatest impact on me was the turducken.
For me it was his analysis of Gatorade buckets

thereās also more chiefs over there than steelers blocking on the snap of the ball, there are more steelers on the left side of the ball than chief defenders (edit on center angle the latter is even apparently Iām blind)
so they ran a pitch to the right of course
and 11 just fell down trying to block cause 81 ended up running him over then 11 knocks over another steeler on the ground and one tackle just tried to block the safety 30 yards away from him

have to audible out of that call if you can, youād like to think the QB would audible to a run to the defenses hole at left guard but maybe they donāt in pit.

and for this to succeed you need two key blocks on the play by #'s 11 and 14. What is this shit man.
