The National Football League

Rams are probably the best possible fit for OBJ. Stafford is good and they have a scheme that has made Kupp an elite receiver. I mean hell their #3 Van Jefferson basically had OBJ stats this year so far. If OBJ can make it half a season without being a malcontent this seems like a win for everyone. He can go sign a big deal with the Jets or something in the offseason after they win the Super Bowl.

Heā€™s a washed asshole and I expect him to be cut by New Years

Washed assholes catch more balls.

I mean sure this is definitely in the range of outcomes. Is he an upgrade from Van Jefferson though? Probably. Will be be motivated to prove the haters wrong enough to keep his nose clean for 2-3 months? Maybe.

Itā€™s definitely a better fit than any other place I can think of in the NFL. If he is fine going 4/55/.5 per game that role is available for him. Getting open in the Rams scheme opposite Kupp/Woods should be easy even if he is washed. Certainly easier than playing for the Browns opposite Landry/nobody.

The biggest upgrade and safest play was Green Bay. They donā€™t even have a second WR. I mean, they have names on a roster, but all of them except Davante could be on the IR and no one would have any idea.

Iā€™m sure he took one look at Kaaron Rodgers and was like, damn that guy is an asshole.

But schefter is locked and loaded forever because ESPNā€™s relationship with the NFL is paramount. He is about as secure as a ā€œjournalistā€ can be.

Ben Simmons misses 100% of the shots he takes.

Is there anyone who doesnā€™t look at Shefter and Rappaport as basically spokesmen for the NFL? Does it really matter if they technically call themselves journalists? I canā€™t remember the last time I read anything by either that wasnā€™t breaking news.

I assume that is how they justify it themselves and donā€™t consider themselves traditional journalists and not beholden to those ethics.

brb, making some popcorn, looks like Iā€™m gonna need a lot

Gonna be fun learning what the NFL was covering up for Washington.

Grudenā€™s clearly an asshole, but was also obviously sacrificed to cover up whatever else was turned up in that investigation.

nfl has to settle. no way they can go through discovery. Lots of lawyer work to be done, but I canā€™t see them being able to avoid it.

But Her Their Emails!

This makes a lot more sense now that Robert Woods has apparently torn his ACL and is out for the season.
