Minor gripe, but I hate when reporters say “team x is giving ___ a $x million contract.” It seems pretty racist - they aren’t giving anyone anything, two parties entered into a contract, it isn’t charity. Rich old dudes paying for highly skilled labor should not be framed this way.
Note you never see “team gives (star white QB) a $xxx contract” tweets.
I hate it because it’s not even a real contract. Four year deals can be terminated after year 1.

The Bears were one of 6 or so teams that Wilson was willing to be traded to.
I didn’t think he would be gone this year. There’s a pretty good shot he is next year, though.
Last I heard was that the Seahawks are not willing to let him go.

Pretty sure signing Andy Dalton isn’t going to stop the Bears from drafting a QB.
Though starting the season with Andy Dalton as the starting QB would be the most Bears thing ever.
The demand for the top four QBs and the Bears’ relative lack of capital to offer to trade up is a much bigger obstacle to them drafting a QB.
