Donāt think punting is that bad there. Converting on 4th and 11 is what, a 25% proposition? I think they get the ball back pretty often. Itās probably correct to go for it but Iāll bet the break even point isnāt too far from 4th and 11. Like you punt there on 4th and 15, right?
And for sure it wasnāt Peteās worst punt of the day. Thank you Pete!

Although you have to take into account that you can easily get the ball back still down by one score even after you go for it and donāt make it. Iām curious what the break even point at that field position actually is. 4th and 17 or something?
But my favorite thing is that Pete said he gave no thought to not punting. Never change Pete. 
If 3rd down is an incomplete pass instead of a sack Iām pretty sure Pete goes for it. Which actually means maybe the better call for the 3rd down play is something quick-hitting, even if thereās less chance of converting outright.
Running a designed qb draw on third down like half the time would have been good.

6-1 is impossible, a run back of a blocked PAT is worth two points.

Itās virtually impossible, to get 1 point the defense would have to score a safety on it. The only conceivable way I could see it happening is a blocked kick (maybe one thatās already 15 yards further back after a penalty) that turns into one of those Keystone Kops sequences where players keep failing to pick it up and booting it downfield until it goes out of the end zone.
There have been safeties on conversions in college at least, but itās always been the defense committing them after an INT/block and then getting cute backing into the EZ to try to return it before being tackled. The end result just being a point for the offense which isnāt that interesting.
