The Inso0 AMA: Now featuring, "it's just a flu"

So… why exactly do you post here? To make your incredibly privileged and Ill-informed bubble slightly less dull? You don’t respond to any of the contradictions people keep pointing out and you admit to not even reading the COVID thread that’s a great resource to understanding this pandemic.

So… why are you here?

I certainly don’t fault them for trying. I also support the default behavior of sending illegal aliens back to their country, but I’d be more open to keeping the employed ones here and fast-tracking their legitimacy. I don’t support full open borders because the system is already stressed.

I don’t own a gun, and find people who carry AR15s in public to be obnoxious idiots that take it too far. I do need a haircut, though.

I’m very certain that the modern trope about creationists thinking dinosaur fossils are just there to test their faith in God was made up by a neckbearded atheist from 4chan. If there are people who actually do believe this, I’d put them in the same camp as those who are utterly convinced they’ve been abducted by aliens, or that the earth is flat.

For the “and a little bit of fun” part of the site motto. I am keenly aware that I’m an outsider here, and I think I’ve kept my commentary rather tame and non-inflammatory. I’m not trying to come into your house and cause trouble, but I also don’t find myself nearly as emotionally invested in all of this as many of you are so I tend to come at things from a less serious angle. The COVID-19 thread probably does have some juicy info in it, but it’s buried inside a lot of posts that I find extremely difficult to grind my way through because it’s just a lot of LOLTRUMPAMENTS and liberal self-soothing fluff. You guys have made 20,000 posts about it. Who can possibly keep up with that?

I can’t go 30 posts without reading about people here struggling with anxiety, depression, hopelessness, etc. This is a supportive place for those people and I try to keep that in the back of my mind as well when I decide what I will and will not engage on, and how.

If you have some choice contradictions in mind, I’ll be happy to elaborate on them.

Do you support expanding the system? Didn’t think so.

Lol Inso0 doesn’t give a fuck about anyone else, but claims he cares about our feelings and that’s why he dodges questions. You voted for the Fuck Your Feelings party, dude. We aren’t buying it.

That’s not what I said

Creationists think there were actually dinosaurs; they just lived 6,000 years ago rather than millions of years ago.

It’s not some 4chan thing and has nothing to do with testing faith in God. They literally believe dinosaurs existed (which they did, of course)

Calling this site “liberal self soothing fluff” while believing a fairy tale about a magical man in the clouds that you use to justify your abhorrent worldview is a little much don’t you think?

And for the record anyone using Christianity to justify supporting the Republican Party in 2020 is a motherfucking moron.

Creationists thinking absurd things about dinosaur fossils is mainstream creationism. This is the second time I’ve seen you post something ignorant about creationism. Are you just pretending at this point? Don’t talk about what you don’t know (although I know that is your brand).

The fuck is he supposed to talk about then?

Being a slumlord’s assistant, obviously.

Inso, why are you chatting so much on a Friday evening? I thought the poors complain about heat and running water on Fridays at 4 PM? Did your slumlord boss lay you off or something?

Some minds can’t be changed, and that’s fine. Your personal feelings toward my motivations in life don’t really affect anyone but you.

I’m not a bible thumper and I don’t even play one on TV, so not sure who ITT the second comment is directed toward.

Everyone believes in fairy tales to a certain extent. It’s part of being human. Again with the using religion to justify my worldview? I know you guys don’t get many right wingers around here, but do we all look the same to you?

I’m far more pragmatic than your average bible belter. Not even in the same ballpark, really.

Zing!

You’ll be glad to know that I’m still gainfully employed, and I don’t see that changing unless I wish it to. Last week’s “wtf is wrong with you?” story about tenants is that some girl let a couple very clearly sketchy dudes into their building on the afternoon of Friday the 1st and those guys proceeded to the basement to tip over all the laundry machines and pry their way into the coin vaults. All in all about $1300 in damage.

We were not notified until the following Monday, when one of the tenants just sent this text:

Hello when will the dryers be back in operating order at Humboldt? I have wet clothes in the washer currently and would appreciate having a time frame on the dryers thank you.

No reasonable person would’ve viewed the scene as it was and thought, “Hm, someone must be working on these dryers, I’ll just come back later.”

They were mangled.

What I got out of that is that you slumlords don’t even have someone go take a walk through your properties a few times a week to make sure everything is in good order. Then if someone reports it on Friday afternoon, you bitch about it. If they report it on Monday morning, you find something else to bitch about.

Maybe require all maintenance requests to be reported Wednesday between 10am and 2pm in 50 words or less. Would that make you happy, snowflake?

Oh noes, you had to call a repair guy, what a tough job you have.

The dude who justified being terrified of 6 year olds calling everyone soft is just icing on the cake. I don’t doubt that Inso0 generally believes some of the nonsense he posts but he’s definitely dishonest at the same time and gets a thrill out of getting a rise out of people on here, shame we continue to give it to him.

Yes, actually. You’re just full of good ideas.

I’d relax that 50 word requirement, though. The lack of detail would a problem and require additional follow-up. There are only so many hours in the day.

So what are we going to do about the girl who let in the “sketchy dude”? No lease renewal? Eviction? We’re at least keeping her security deposit, right?

None of the above.

Think she’ll send us a Christmas Card at least?

As explained in the landlord thread, I give back nearly all deposits in full. Unless the damage is egregious, the potential liability in court isn’t worth recouping turnover costs.

Landlords who use security deposits as a profit center are doing it wrong.

This person would generally get a cleaning chargeback, but it has to be pretty much this bad for even that to happen. It’s just not worth it.

In the case of the above photos, that tenant was actually inherited from the prior building owner. We gave their deposit back in full anyway and the unit is going to be gutted and redone, then back on the market at probably $300 higher rent than they were paying.

This is a bigger deal than people think.

I know there aren’t a lot of you with children, but the whole homeschooling thing isn’t going so well for many districts. My wife has teacher friends throughout SE Wisconsin and many report a largely unmitigated disaster for the past few months, and even our district has flat out announced to all parents that the kids are getting only As and Bs on their transcripts for the last half of the 2019-20 year. Kids who literally don’t do anything will get an Incomplete that doesn’t affect GPA.

College is one thing, but we’re also punting on a full year and a half of education in the K-12 space, and that can’t end well.

This doesn’t include the fact that schools act as babysitter for many parents, allowing them to be productive members of society. I know a few single parents who are already suffering with young kids in the house while trying to figure out a way to put food on the table since they can’t work like they used to.

LOL Inso0 and all that, but this cutting off the leg to save the toe plan just keeps getting worse by the day.

Prepare for mass civil disobedience as people quickly decide enough is enough as the weather warms up. Masks won’t save you.

Fuck off with this concern trolling bullshit. Your party has been opposed to shutdowns since the beginning. If shutdowns had been executed promptly and properly, we could be considering a reopening. Instead you’ve fucked it all up, and are now concern trolling people who have told you it was fucked up all along.

If you care about the plight of single parents maybe you should support increased school funding, universal Healthcare, and a higher minimum wage. Or a virus response that includes money to the people and not to fucking corporations or your slumlord company. Fucking asshole. Fuck the fuck off.

lol Insoooooooooo, people missing out on school is regrettable but we are just going to have to do best we can. As far as the seingle parents struggling while trying to put food on the table, this where the govt could easily help out, its hilarious how trumpers are continually like “look at all this stuff that is going to fall apart if we stay closed, people need money so they need to work” Rest of world: “how about we just help them out with money instead and keep them safe” Trumpers “THAT WOULD BE THE GOVT TAKING OVER OUR LIVES JUST LIKE YOU ALL WANT, THERE IS NO OTHER WAY THAN TO SEND EVERYONE TO UNSAFE WORKPLACES”

edit: go fuck yourself

So, you’re telling us to be prepared for mass civil disobedience as people quickly decide enough is enough because schools aren’t babysitting their kids as the weather warms up…in the summer?

I’m more inclined to believe that government should be prepared to shoot people protesting a lockdown.
