Oh noes, you had to call a repair guy, what a tough job you have.
The dude who justified being terrified of 6 year olds calling everyone soft is just icing on the cake. I don’t doubt that Inso0 generally believes some of the nonsense he posts but he’s definitely dishonest at the same time and gets a thrill out of getting a rise out of people on here, shame we continue to give it to him.
Yes, actually. You’re just full of good ideas.
I’d relax that 50 word requirement, though. The lack of detail would a problem and require additional follow-up. There are only so many hours in the day.
So what are we going to do about the girl who let in the “sketchy dude”? No lease renewal? Eviction? We’re at least keeping her security deposit, right?
None of the above.
Think she’ll send us a Christmas Card at least?
As explained in the landlord thread, I give back nearly all deposits in full. Unless the damage is egregious, the potential liability in court isn’t worth recouping turnover costs.
Landlords who use security deposits as a profit center are doing it wrong.
This person would generally get a cleaning chargeback, but it has to be pretty much this bad for even that to happen. It’s just not worth it.
In the case of the above photos, that tenant was actually inherited from the prior building owner. We gave their deposit back in full anyway and the unit is going to be gutted and redone, then back on the market at probably $300 higher rent than they were paying.
For those of you with kids in college, probably time to tell them to start looking for a job.
This is a bigger deal than people think.
I know there aren’t a lot of you with children, but the whole homeschooling thing isn’t going so well for many districts. My wife has teacher friends throughout SE Wisconsin and many report a largely unmitigated disaster for the past few months, and even our district has flat out announced to all parents that the kids are getting only As and Bs on their transcripts for the last half of the 2019-20 year. Kids who literally don’t do anything will get an Incomplete that doesn’t affect GPA.
College is one thing, but we’re also punting on a full year and a half of education in the K-12 space, and that can’t end well.
This doesn’t include the fact that schools act as babysitter for many parents, allowing them to be productive members of society. I know a few single parents who are already suffering with young kids in the house while trying to figure out a way to put food on the table since they can’t work like they used to.
LOL Inso0 and all that, but this cutting off the leg to save the toe plan just keeps getting worse by the day.
Prepare for mass civil disobedience as people quickly decide enough is enough as the weather warms up. Masks won’t save you.
Fuck off with this concern trolling bullshit. Your party has been opposed to shutdowns since the beginning. If shutdowns had been executed promptly and properly, we could be considering a reopening. Instead you’ve fucked it all up, and are now concern trolling people who have told you it was fucked up all along.
If you care about the plight of single parents maybe you should support increased school funding, universal Healthcare, and a higher minimum wage. Or a virus response that includes money to the people and not to fucking corporations or your slumlord company. Fucking asshole. Fuck the fuck off.
lol Insoooooooooo, people missing out on school is regrettable but we are just going to have to do best we can. As far as the seingle parents struggling while trying to put food on the table, this where the govt could easily help out, its hilarious how trumpers are continually like “look at all this stuff that is going to fall apart if we stay closed, people need money so they need to work” Rest of world: “how about we just help them out with money instead and keep them safe” Trumpers “THAT WOULD BE THE GOVT TAKING OVER OUR LIVES JUST LIKE YOU ALL WANT, THERE IS NO OTHER WAY THAN TO SEND EVERYONE TO UNSAFE WORKPLACES”
edit: go fuck yourself
So, you’re telling us to be prepared for mass civil disobedience as people quickly decide enough is enough because schools aren’t babysitting their kids as the weather warms up…in the summer?
I’m more inclined to believe that government should be prepared to shoot people protesting a lockdown.
Meanwhile let’s make it rain with countless trillions for the 1%.
I know a few single parents who are already suffering with young kids in the house while trying to figure out a way to put food on the table
I’m sure you do.

LOL. Who do you think they’re coming after first?
I had this same discussion with wirelessbro and my uncle, they’re just like well we can’t keep people from working they are starving. I say well how about we keep them fed? both of them: Ya thats just what you want, everyone on the govt titty and controlling all of our lives forever.
Yes cuz thats the same thing as getting help for a few months, morons i swear
wtf? Lots of people here have children.
College for both my kids is remote next fall.
And they both had jobs pre-pandemic and one of them will probably be going back to the job at some point in the not too distant future. Open for business and all.
wtf? Lots of people here have children.
A common trope of Ins0’s posting is him assuming no one here has ever had children or been in a large city or other common life experiences.
Just tell them they must be gay if they don’t like titties.
support increased school funding,
Good point. Have you stopped for a moment to think about what this shutdown has done and will continue to do to local government budgets, and by extension, school funding?
I’m more inclined to believe that government should be prepared to shoot people protesting a lockdown.
Good luck with that one. Law enforcement nationwide is already saying, “nah, we’re good” when being asked to enforce stay at home orders.

I’m not worried about adults attending college. They can make their own choices. You should be more concerned with the kids under the age of 12, particularly those in households that don’t place the proper emphasis on education.
or other common life experiences.
There’s some truth to this, because some of the shit that comes out of their mouths can only have come from someone living in a bubble their entire life. I often find myself thinking, “Who ARE these people and how do they make it through life?”
To be clear I don’t think you, specifically, suffer from this. You might be the most normal one of the bunch imo. In fact, I don’t even think I’ve ever seen you express an actual opinion on most topics. You seem to just be here for the memes and to make fun of people, which is perfectly acceptable. You do you.
If there’s one thing the “OPEN UP!” protests have had in common nationwide, it’s that they all feature a bunch of single parents with their children in tow.
Good point. Have you stopped for a moment to think about what this shutdown has done and will continue to do to local government budgets, and by extension, school funding?
Amazing that this is the one thing you pull out of my post. Go ahead and make your argument instead of JAQing off.

This is certainly true. And in my immediate circle I know people whose kids are getting a much better education because their parents are home all the time and people whose kids probably just losing 6 months or a year of education. This will widen already big gaps.

The kids were at home, participating in all the various Zoom meetings to keep up with their schoolwork. Definitely not being babysat by Netflix and Fortnite.
