Yeah that was creepy. I guess the humans constantly lighting up was supposed to be exaggerated but if you watch old shows it’s not that far off. Columbo is always looking for an ashtray, dropping his ash in his raincoat pocket, losing a lit cigar in his boss’s car, asking for matches in a hospital, sharing cigars with killers. Weird.

you don’t have to be super fussy about it, when I had mine I would just clean up my neck and any strays up above the cheekline with clippers maybe 2x/week.

You all missing (perhaps proving) the point on the theory of mind thing, it’s not about how good it looks from the front.you need to see the side angles, i.e. how other people will see it.

i agree. as a beard enthusiast myself, i take either photos or videos from the sides to see how it will look.
i have a longer beard so i tend to critique longer ones more on others, my personal favorite is the guy that is trying to have a longer beard but still cuts the chin line super high, so it looks like it comes to a point from the side, but then also looks see through from the front. i chuckle every time.
