Rocket from the moon. (Possibly moderately offensive video tweet of idiot butt-launching fireworks.)

He should have put a bottle in his arse first and then put the rocket in the bottle ā¦ rookie mistake.
Guessing the bottles went in the other end.
I really wonder if this is compelling to a lot of techie nerds so they donāt feel so bad about destroying the planet.
The simulation argument is appealing, in part, because it gives atheists a way to talk about spirituality. The idea that weāre living in only a part of reality, with the whole permanently beyond our reach, can be a source of awe. About our simulators, one can ask the same questions one asks about God: Why did the creators of our world decide to include evil and suffering? (Can they change that setting in the preferences?)
Also this seems like just a repackaging of same old belief since the dawn of man - that thereās some cosmic entity that cares about the daily struggles of individual humans.
Even if we live in a giant Sims game, it seems a lot more likely to me that an entity with that kind of technology would just start with the Big Bang - like seeding the petri dish once, then sit back and watch what happens.
Itās very human-centric imo to think the simulation would be centered on us - and all the rest of the universe is just a massive VR set for our amusement. Not much different than early astronomers assuming the earth was the center of the universe imo.
If itās just a simulation, I can rape and murder who I want because Iām not hurting anybody real.
There are people you want to rape and murder?
plenty of games/simulations where murdering other characters is not advantageous and is penalized.
Yes. I have an extensive enemies list.
You want to rape them yourself?
If itās all a simulation, does it matter?
Well, not really.
Itās just that it seems to be a rather unpleasant thing to do personally. Even if itās a simulation, Iād like my simulation to be as pleasant as possible. Even if it is not really happening, I would perceive it as if it was.
In your position, Iād consider outsourcing that portion of the vengeance.
Starting a deplorable go fund me makes other random people hundreds of thousands. Poor bastard.
i like how the replicators on star trek tng donāt have a door on them. matter is being shot and assembled at mindblowing speeds in this space, iām sure if anyone put a hand in there while asking for a glass of water their whole hand would explode. and youāre just gonna leave that wide open? sure everybody on the ship is super smart compared to today but they could still slip and fall, how hard it is to have a microwave-like door there?
