I wish I could remember the show but there was a pretty in-depth interview with the producers (not Burnett) of the show and they sounded pretty baffled and ashamed at how the public consumed āThe Apprenticeā and Trumpās persona. They seemed convinced they were portraying Trump as a clown (never underestimate American stupidity, or something). Of course the interview piece was during his destructive and disastrous presidency so they had the benefit of seeing almost the full impact at that point. Fuck them anyway, for hoisting the shitbag back up to national prominence. Their position on my hate totem will probably be replaced by these assholes drilling miles down into ice caps and thawing out previously unknown pathogens.
