Yeah, it’s winner take all where all a candidate needs is a plurality. So if Trump is getting 30 percent of hte vote and 16 other candidates are dividing the other 70 percent, he’ll win.

it’d be cool if some moderate republicans started a third party strong enough to throw the election to dems, but i think the best we can do in reality is after the election one or two might admit to writing in john mccain’s ghost

If moderate repubs started a third party the more likely outcome would be siphoning support from the dem candidate and throwing it to the repubs.

The funniest thing about Cruz is he thinks he’s DeSantis. Every time I see his uniquely punchable face next to Walker’s glossy, vacant stare on the campaign trail, I’m reassured that Walker probably just lost a few more votes.

Cruz wasn’t as hated before Trump ran him over in 2015. The tea party, crazy right loved Cruz until Trump showed up.

If Trump hadn’t ran in 2016 Cruz had a ton of equity. And pretty much every Republican had massive equity against Hillary.

I think the voices of trump turning on him will actually hurt trump significantly. A lot of trump’s effectiveness comes from right wing talking heads amplifying and supporting his messaging. Sure a lot of trumpers view trump as their lord and savior but some will get beat down by the messaging that no longer supports them from their favorite media.

This Election cycle reminds me so much of 2016, much more so than 2020, where I actually did much better - got 12,000,000 more votes! Fox News and The Wall Journal were terrible to me, much like today, UNTIL I WON THE ELECTION. CNN, when they actually had great ratings, was terrific - They covered me no matter where I went, 24/7. The big difference is my record: Best Economy & Border, No Inflation or Wars, Energy Independence, Record Jobs, Strong Military, World Wide Respect, and sooo much more!
