imagining trump reading all these news stories contemporarily, and have them form his opinion that classified documents are free to keep. that nobody cares if they get taken. and if the fbi asks for them back they don’t really mean it, because, come on i read 100 articles about missing documents. they’re just missing, forget about it.

Trump’s like the kid who cheated on his final paper in high school and just BS’d to save time and then frantically does a ton of (terrible) research once he thinks the teacher knows. Dude is now a legit expert on how previous administrations handled sensitive documents.

crying-sad

Read the article. It’s amazing how everything Trump and family does absolutely reeks of desperation for money. I just cannot believe he has more than a few million at this point.

And as for the guys running this business, they appear to be some of the most clueless idiots alive.

Let’s just skip to the part where Trump and Desantis duke it out. This low energy lol documents plot line has run its course.

Like gee guys this seems pretty illegal but I’m completely fine skipping the “SEC opens investigation” thing, all the way through the “the company (not Trump) paid some stupid fine with donor money” part.

It just so amazing. These guys literally can’t do anything legally. You would think by shear volume they would accidentally be lawful once in awhile.

Donnie Dumb Dumb becoming a central figure in American life has really laid bare the fact that the entire legal system exists solely for the purpose of protecting, entrenching, and growing the power and wealth of the rich (mostly white) people. We talk all the time about the “fuck you defense” but in reality it’s the “I’m rich” defense. Donnie Dumb Dumb was handed generational wealth, so it is almost impossible to wield the legal system against him because by design the legal system is there to help rich people. Rich people really only “get got” when they fuck over other rich people (like Epstein or Madoff").

Rich people are often accused of violating this or that securities law, but who actually gets prosecuted with securities law? In Ontario, most of the cases I see going through to completion are small scale operators that scam a million here or a million there setting up some phony investment scheme that involves buying imaginary real estate or something like that.

The only example I can think of off the top of my head is Martha Stewart somehow fucking up so badly that she sent to prison for something like a $50,000 insider trading violation.

And that was for lying, not insider trading!

Exactly, it was a self inflicted wound. If she had tried the “yeah I did the thing, so what, that just makes me smart” line she likely would have gotten away with it.
