I think people with severe narcissism disorder are so wrapped up with such a grandiose sense of self that they aren’t capable of gauging how their behavior is actually perceived by others. Hence thinking an altered weather map using a sharpie, or that a box of financial papers no one is allowed to see, or their myriad of lies are perfectly credible to others

So true, Religious Right were assholes for at least nominally paternalistic reasons, i.e. may not like what I’m doing but it is for your own good/the good of the country and here is why.
