I think the logic flow would be escalating Donnie Dumb Dumb rhetoric-> even more Y’all Qaeda violence → Republicans scared they will be personally killed by a mob. No conscience required, just personal self preservation.

I do think he legitimately pissed off a bunch of GOP Senators by sabotaging the GA runoffs. If they nuke him it will only be out of self-preservation, but there is a chance.
