As I had to be reminded, Napoleon escaped from Elba and became Emperor penguin of France again.
Silver lining, Napoleon lasted barely over a 100 days in his second go as Emperor, and despite Waterloo’s inflated importance in the public imagination, he was never a credible threat to the coalition after Elba, and his next and last exile wasn’t nearly as pleasant.

Not sure if right thread, but Schiff and Swalwell seem like the wrong guys to mess with. They know how things work and where to apply leverage, basically opposites of Donald “Article 2” Trump in that regard.

They pretty much led impeachment of Trump and did so with high competence. I have no idea what leverage the chair of the house intelligence committee has vs the DOJ, but it’s probably not insignificant.
Schiff and Swalwell are the last guys to fuck around with. I mean Swalwell got a PI to give a subpoena to Mo Brooks’s wife. Yea, nothing will come out of it, but he legit went after him. Nancy and Chuck would still be trying to call his office before sending out a letter of concern in 2023.
