Trump loved his rallies in flyover country, it’s not like he actually has to do anything.
Even to this day it baffles me that this guy is who captivated them. Just a unicorn mix of authentic stupidity, racism and genuine skill as a con man coupled, crucially, with absolute shamelessness.
