The First Trump Impeachment: Wrap Up and AMA (Within Reason)

It’s quaint that you’re acting like we’re in 2016. That’s part of the disconnect I’m talking about here. The GOP throughout the Senate trial tried to act like 2018 never happened. This site acts like 2018 never happened. All the assumptions related to 2016 no longer apply to anything in this country, because something else happened. And tons of other things have happened since that 2018 election (including Kentucky and Louisiana), and all the batshit stuff Trump has done since that election.

The GOP is losing, but you would for sure think it’s winning based on how this site treats everything. You need to be in the 2018 ballgame, not the 2016 one, because that’s what the GOP wants. They are counting on us to eff this up, after how badly they effed up impeachment in the Senate. You really should go back and see all the wrangling that happened related to witnesses. Bolton was an 11th hour potential witness, and they 1000 percent did not want to see him. It looked like a farcical cover up, which no one could have anticipated would happen prior to them getting the trial. People in this country love trials. Love them, and they were denied.

A 5-4 Supreme Court is esoteric about how effed we are right now and if we lose in 2020, as it still looks like there could be a voice of reason. You won’t feel the same way when it’s 7-2, and that’s what happens if we lose.

Only as good of a job as you are. I at least know you’ll do the right thing and pull the lever for whoever, because you get it. I know you would love nothing more for me to disappear. You’ll probably be overjoyed if the bad guys come for me, which they always could.

The GOP is losing? What planet are you living on. They have solidified power at every level and the last meaningful thing the Dems accomplished was Obamacare. That happened over a decade ago.

The only hope is the election if there is any at all. The only hope has always only been the election. We have told you this literally hundreds of times.

You should delete this post.

What in the world is this.

Dude, wtf are you talking about

Of course I don’t.

But the post doesn’t bother me.

nunnehi vs the world here isn’t good for anyone, especially nunnehi.

What are you doing to make sure a 2020 election loss doesn’t happen? You say you’re surrounded by Trump people. Why can’t you try to make them wake up to the atrocities coming? I even saw you say something about how you were at some gathering with a big Trump supporter. You confront everyone hard here, but you couldn’t do it there. I’m gonna call shit out in general, and I will provide solutions (even if you disagree with them). You say you have no solutions. I want you to come up with some, or it just looks like you’re looking at problems. That kind of thinking makes my blood boil in my industry. I’m a solutions person, not a problems person.

I’m a pragmatist, and I’m watching people every day with their eyes on the wrong places when I know if they knew what was going on it would piss them off. I’m serious when I say last week a few days before the acquittal (when the Iowa Caucus happened) that I almost wanted to mute nearly every person on this site, and just read it for the bot. That’s really the only reason I’m here anymore. I’m not going to follow it anywhere else, and there is very little good new information here like there used to be. This site is on a downward spiral whether you realize it or not.

I know that 2018 happened. It’s that election where the GOP gained two senate seats. (Yes, some good stuff happened too, but way more bad stuff).

And you’re wrong that 2016 doesn’t matter. It’s the most recent presidential election! Trump won Kansas and Montana by 20 points in 2016.

For you to believe those states are in play for senate seats, you would have to believe that either:

  1. Those states will be competitive for the Democratic nominee against Trump.
  2. There will be 10 to 15% of voters who will vote Trump and also vote for the Democratic challenger for senate.

Which is it? Honestly curious.

Your first main point is people caring too much about the Iowa Caucus vs. the impeachment vote. Now your main point is people aren’t caring enough about the election.

Which is it?

He wants me to leave this site. How is that any different? He doesn’t like my voice, so he would love it to be silenced, like many around here. We might be talking figuratively right now, but he wouldn’t miss me if I’m gone in reality. That’s the assertion I’m making.

You may not notice it, but micro throws tons of bombs. He knows he’s doing it, but it’s pretty subtle to people not paying attention.

This thread is literally full of insults from you towards the members here and the site in general. Yet here you are playing the victim again.

Omg lolol

Actually I’m trying not to be too mean and suggest that you should leave entirely for your own good. I have no problem not reading your million word posts. Or at least people should take it easy on you.

I believe you might be surprised at the outcome is what I’m saying. Jon Tester was re-elected in Montana and Trump went HAM at him to try to make him lose. Daines is an absolute Trump sycophant. Why is it that a Democrat can win statewide there for one seat, but not two? Serious question. Daines is legit awful.

You realize Kansas got a Democratic governor in 2018 right? They also got a Democratic representative, after not having one in 2016.

In 2016, there were a lot of people who believed Trump might disrupt things and he pushed their buttons pretty well in places where Clinton didn’t. I can give some people a pass for their vote then, but not anymore. There’s now no doubt that he lied to the people who wanted to give it a shot. You’re acting like Trump is a super villain, and that’s just not true. He’s a clown villain who’s being protected because people are afraid of his true base. They have to keep his base in hopes that the Dems eat each other up. That’s why they haven’t tossed him. They know we can eff it up, and this site is giving the recipe.

After 2016, we could legitimately have had a 60 seat GOP senate in 2018. The fact that we only lost several of our worst Senators, replacing them with ones that are better (even Sinema) was a victory. You had your hopes set too high. I was predicting a loss there, but knew it would be game over if we lost the House in 2018. That’s what it was all about. We’re winning the House in 2020, no doubt. The question is whether we can get the Senate. It’s absolutely in play no matter what you say, and it shouldn’t have been.

I actually get what can happen, and make sure I don’t blow that up. If you’re cementing your entire existence on something nearly impossible happening that won’t, you’re not a pragmatist. That’s a lot of this site in a nutshell.

Looks like we have a “pragmatist” on our hands that doesn’t seem to understand the practical realities of having Trump on the ticket for downballot races.

Because Trump is also on the ballot. You seem to be skipping that very important point.

And you didn’t answer my question. One of the following MUST be true:

  1. Those states will be competitive for the Democratic nominee against Trump.
  2. There will be 10 to 15% of voters who will vote Trump and also vote for the Democratic challenger for senate.

Which is it?

You one time said I was the biggest bully on this site. I’ve never bullied anyone, and when I get mean it’s only because people were mean, very mean to me first. But every bad actor on this site has bullied me. I have no illusions about how you feel about me. You can hide your ‘dark side’ to a lot of people, but not me.
