I generally agree with you but I do think that Biden casting his gaze downward at his notes while Trump is ranting is something he should adjust. It isn’t a great posture in any circumstance but when someone is berating you its particularly odd.
I did think a couple of times that it looks like biden was snoozing.
I think you’re underestimating the look of a murderous autocrat. It was on full display.
The number one thing I’ve seen in polling of moderates that lean either way agree on is they are sick of the partisan bullshit. Biden was able to display genuine heartfelt calls for unity ie calling down while the aggressive spewtard just fired away blindly.
Maybe the tax return leaks are working. The boomers are aging and on a subconscious level I think they understand they will have to be taken care of. Younger people are skewing hard left, they have to at least suspect Trump might take away the ACA and if they don’t have confidence in his financial prowess they might actually see the writing on the wall.
Think about it. $750 rolls off the tongue and I’m guessing has been buzzing on social media.
Guessing on the details but I think Trump came across as an unhinged lunatic last night. I think Chris Wallace was a win.
Almost didn’t heart it because that’s not Saul Berenson. He’ll always be Inigo Montoya, you killed his father, prepare to die.
man, I remember leading to the debate nearly every single person on here or twitter I read said to pivot that question to what her nomination will do especially on healthcare. He did that and got bashed in here at least really hard for it.
I don’t get things sometimes.
One conclusion I just came to - if Trump loses he won’t make a clear concession on election night. He’ll hold it out as a negotiating chip to get everything he wants during the lame duck.
We may not know for sure what’s going to happen until inauguration day. Repubs will say he’s definitely stepping down. Trump will bloviate out of both sides of his mouth and incite as much violence as he can.
It’s going to be terrible.
Yeah, he was clearly executing a strategy and I thought did it pretty well. Perhaps a little too flowery in praising her personally, but the totality of it was fine. The strategy was to head off at the pass the BS about how Dems are attacking this woman personally, attacking her faith, her children, etc. - which isn’t actually happening, but is a right-wing talking point.
hot take - I’m not sure it will beneficial for the Democrats to let Biden talk uninterrupted for two hours
Oooh…new measures, more structure. I’m sure they will pass the “lol fuck you” test with Trump.
Unless it is the ability for a moderator to cut the mic.
Legit there’s no point in having another one without this.
What was that Chris Hayes reply to Mollie Hemingway’s whiny assed bs last week? More of the same conservative victimhood. They’re ALWAYS the oppressed party.
I’m trying to think of some alternative to cutting the mic that might actually work - short of physically restraining or say shocking trump. Like play the Access Hollywood tape if he won’t behave, or Stormy Daniels describing his mushroom penis. But it’s hard when he literally has no shame or accountability.
He doesn’t care about that stuff.
Play someone talking about how much in debt he is.
Get the head of Time Magazine to say Trump is up for person of the year, but he needs to behave at the debates.
No one in these debates ever comes off looking good bitching at the moderator.
This - I obviously follow politics closely and I had absolutely no idea what Donnie was talking about during a few of those rants.
Like the mayor of Moscow gave Hunter Biden money? Something about trees?
I checked with a right-leaning radio show I listen to and they also think trump had a poor performance. I guess I’m so used to seeing trump unhinged that it wasn’t so surprising or shocking at all.
Yes the younger group skews left but there is a very concerning amount of right-wing radicalism taking hold in gen Z. I believe gen X, Y, and Z are gonna play a huge role in this election. And in the future of the planet in general. I don’t have much faith in any of these generations though.
