Rupar essentially posts āclipsā that constitute the entire debate, so I am going to try to avoid him as well.
Hereās my plan:
- Not watch
- Railbird a little here, but mostly check in afterwards
- If afterwards, people here are freaking out and WAAF, donāt consume any clips. Consume lots of alcohol instead.
- If afterwards, most here are satisfied, say that nothing much tonight moved the needle either way, but Biden had a couple solid moments, Iāll likely start consuming Rupar clips.

Some of yāall are watching or reading the transcript from last electionās debate moderated by Wallace.
Hillary really smoked him. Like Iām reading these answers and just a little frustrated that Biden could and probably will say excruciatingly similar responses and guess what? He will win and Hillary lost.
The other side of it though is reading back over Trumpās defenses and feeling just a little nervous. Tonightās debate really will be a test of rhetoric, not policy. Much as I wish it was the other way, itās not.

I donāt watch most of the Rupar clips. I like that he tells me what happened so I donāt have to. And then like you said, I can always watch it if thereās a crazy response that says this clip is worth it.
Otherwise sounds good dude. I plan on popping an edible and will probably be taking a vape hit with the drinking game as I watch along (because alcohol sucks but I want to play with yāall). In a weird way, enduring the agony of the debate lets me process some of these feelings of futility. Trump and COVID feel endless, but the debate is like well that sucked, but at least it has a clear beginning and ending.
Any mention of drug tests, earpieces, breaks, basements, taxes, Hunter, etc., Biden should immediately pivot to 4-5 canned talking point saying heās there to address what the American people care about - healthcare, COVID, healthcare, COVID, and whatever else is on the āmost important issuesā list. I hope his handlers have drilled this into him.

I hear ya. To each their own on whether to watch or not. Itās hard to avoid. Iām not even entirely sure Iāll be able to stick with my plans. I just fear there is so much to lose, and essentially nothing to gain, for Biden. And Iād find it hard to watch while being that nervous.

I think itās that I will find it too hard to NOT watch when this nervous. Itās silly, but I really do go into these with the hope Trump says something that instantly ends his candidacy. Heās so incompetent and unpredictable that thereās always a chance.
