I think this has more to do with Trump’s inherent cowardice than stupidity.

This. Nobody remembers policy from debates. Think of the debate highlights that people remember:
1960 - Nixon’s stubble
1988 - Dukakis thinking about his wife’s rape and murder
1988 - Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy
1992 - Bush looking at his watch
2000 - Gore sighs a lot
2016 - Wrong.
Nobody remembers what Reagan said during his debate about his policy regarding the Soviet Union.

I took one for the team and listened to some AM radio this morning on the way to work. Glenn Beck was openly discussing how Biden has dementia but it was a strategic mistake to make everyone believe it because it will be such a low expectation. I was laughing thinking how he was one of the people spreading that info for months.
I got in an almost 3 hour phone argument with my mother. We had been doing well being civil but as soon as she started in on the Breonna Taylor was no angel bit I had to let it rip. She then accused me of being part of “cancel culture”. To which I asked her to name one right wing toad who had been cancelled. She couldn’t come up with one but guaranteed me it was real. How this becomes relevant is that she went on at least a 20 minute rant about Biden and his dementia. I kept saying over and over you only watch the Fox News clips, watch the debate tomorrow.
All that to say I don’t think Biden will be some world beater tonight but he doesn’t need to be. He just needs to appear sane and lucid and not get rattled by Trump. A huge percentage of people think he is a literal nursing home dementia patient. He also hasn’t had many high profile appearances so I think the low info crowd might be pretty persuadable either way tonight.

Also having been 14 back then and not exactly following US media very closely, I feel checking his watch was only so bad as it reinforces the out-of-touchness HW shows following that gesture and then Clinton getting the exact opposite.

Clinton was such a boss. That is an insanely good answer. It’s sad to see what he has turned into over the last decade and change. Well that and the Epstein stuff.

Ya the post Super Tuesday debate performance again tonight will probably lock up the election for Biden. Will he be able to pull it off? We shall see.
What’s best option/channel to watch this shitshow? I pay for cable like every patriotic american and don’t want to stream.

Gonna exert all my willpower to not watch. Will probably do baseball instead. It’s such a waste of time when one debater comes in good faith and the other does not.
