The Crypto Thread

Does this mean one might be able to predict the behavior of some of these cryptocurrencies by comparing them to a model of the spread of QAnon?

I would have bought doge a few months ago but could not find an easy way to do so. The easy methods aren’t available to Washington state residents.

Not even Robinhood?

I don’t have Robinhood. Can you buy it there?

i havent tried, but yes it is on Robinhood

lol at someone posting to not invest in doge and it’s doubled already

I don’t see why it’d ever go below 25c again I don’t see why it wouldn’t keep going, it’s still less than a buck.

Bitcoin is out, dogecoin is in

I don’t believe we’re seeing sub 25c DOGE again unless all of crypto got drilled

I think they’re trying to say to not sell at $1 and diamond that shit up to $10k. At least, I think. Maybe some of them mean for everybody to keep buying and dollar-cost-averaging up to $9.9999k.

ELI5 how every asset on the face of the planet is this inflated

Here’s the thing, and I probably mentioned this before. DOGE has always been a leading indicator for new money coming in at the beginning of a big cycle, because in addition to people buying BTC and ETH, they buy DOGE because that shit is funny. Historically, that meant bouncing between 20 and 100 satoshis:

We’re here now, lol,

and there are two ways of looking at this. One is that DOGE is gonna crash everything because it was foretold in the ancient tomes that cryptocurrency was always meant to make a mockery of finance and capitalism, and what better harbinger to do that than the mockery of the mockery.

The other is that DOGE is still the indicator, and it’s indicating that this cycle is going to be far beyond ludicrous, making late 2017/early 2018 look sane and sensible. It’s not just the people who ‘missed out’ on DOGE, it’s also the people with the DOGE profits who’ve been lying to themselves that they’re gonna cashout and donate to charity or some shit but who are really gonna take those sweet ass dog profits and throw them at everything else.

The point is, I’m not gonna do the song and dance about “this is not financial advice” because it totally is financial advice and it’s not that you all are all adults, it’s that we’re all gamblers. Now might be the time to find some shit that hasn’t pumped and throw some gambling funds at it. DOGE isn’t even the biggest 7day gainer, and this is only looking at the top100:

Here,

Cumrocket Crypto is up 1400 percent in the past week and only has a 217 million dollar market cap. Using a little DOGE math, it still has about a 350x from this point ahead of it.

I mean, from the mouths of babes and all, these people intuitively grasp what 99.99% of investors and traders can’t or don’t want to, but, at the same time they are all so fucked.

p.s. I really don’t want them to be fucked because that reddit is pure but based on the posts a lot of them bought the runup, which looks so far in the rearview right now but is way closer than they think. They’re talking about the gains after buying at 4 cents and what not, when that was when I started selling my bag after a 10x profit. There are so many more bags that are not only bigger but are priced in way lower, and the dump is going to be cataclysmic.

p.p.s. They probably, hopefully won’t be fucked monetarily but there’s gonna be a whole lot of settling for 2x-5x gains down from 20-100x, which leaves people psychologically fucked.

Yesterday my sister messaged me, asking how to exit her Doge position. She said she bought “shares”* at .29, now it’s .58 … her account had gone from like $400 to $700 … this is not an insignificant amount of money to her … it’s also not a ton … but the fact that she is buying, doesn’t know what she’s buying or how to get out of it, and has a friend saying hold because Doge could bit $5 this summer …

yeah, that’s a bit scary. because like others have said, wtf do I know? What do I tell her? It shouldn’t be going to $1, so is $5 any crazier? Sure sure, all the money on earth, can’t go that high, etc, but it still might… none of these other stocks or coins should have done what they did but people still either got rich or broked.

For all my feeling superior, I’m like, “Yeah, but buying a digital racehorse sounds legit” … so yeah. maybe we’ve all gone insane.

*why I say she doesn’t know what she bought

Tell her to sell 400 worth. And ask her where and what she bought the dog coins at.

Sort of, but there’s still some actual science and math behind the guesswork:

If all other prices were to hold equal, the market cap of Doge passes other currencies at roughly the following prices.

-BNB to become the 3rd largest cryptocurrency at $0.77

-Ethereum to become 2nd largest at $3.01

-Bitcoin to become the dominant cryptocurrency at $7.96

-Passes the US Dollar at $156
