The Crypto Thread

In all seriousness, I started way too late to take massive profits off of anyone. But I feel better about picking up money dropped by crypto whales and gambling addicts than I do about buying and burning fossil fuels on the way to work - or any of the million other monstrosities forced upon us by a typical 9-5.

But srsly,

there’s no version of you that deserves an honest human reply but I’ll give it to you anyhow:

People are scared of global financial collapse, not just about how it will affect themselves but everybody. And as for themselves, nobody made enough to really fade what’s coming. Wtf is half a million dollars when bread costs a thousand a loaf? So they’re scared they didn’t make enough, and above all, most importantly, they’re scared about what this fear says about themselves when it truly matters and the rubber meets the road.

They’re scared like you’re scared, because I refuse to entertain the horrific possibility that you’re not scared.

lol ppl thought i was memeing when i posted this whenever crypto started to go sideways, like crypto isn’t a leading indicator for the demise of all this stupid bullshit:

The car’s on fire and there’s no driver at the wheel
And the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides
And a dark wind blows

The government is corrupt
And we’re on so many drugs
With the radio on and the curtains drawn

We’re trapped in the belly of this horrible machine
And the machine is bleeding to death

The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles

It went like this:

The buildings tumbled in on themselves
Mothers clutching babies picked through the rubble
And pulled out their hair

The skyline was beautiful on fire
All twisted metal stretching upwards
Everything washed in a thin orange haze

I said: "kiss me, you’re beautiful -
These are truly the last days"

You grabbed my hand and we fell into it
Like a daydream or a fever

We woke up one morning and fell a little further down -
For sure it’s the valley of death

I open up my wallet
And it’s full of blood

that’s only 100x, doge went 250x

It won’t ‘do’ anything; the tanking is a leading indicator that the economy is already bleeding out and dying slowly.

It’s impossible to do it with dollar bills too unless you’re injecting it like magic Johnson in that South Park episode, but cops are morons.

the possible hypothetical moral high ground position and opposition to “get rich quick” is “don’t get rich” and not “get rich a little slower” like lol what the fuck are you even talking about
