The Crypto Thread

The developers aren’t the ones setting the crazy prices for rares within a collection. We could do a collection of, say, 10k unique cards with varying traits and have a mint price of 0.1 ETH. This collection is going to have some ultra rare 1/1 NFTs in there for sure, so if you mint a handful maybe you’d pull something crazy like the Laser Eyes Suicide King of Spades Gold Metallic Hologram with Purple Horseshoes and sell it for that much. Depends on how much demand there is for your rare item.

Anyone NFT’ed the limit hold’em poo-flinging monkeys yet?

You sure? I played a lot of hands of breakeven poker for years. And I didn’t even get to post funny gifs with the discord bros then.

The 2 hour youtube guy is going to start by talking about the mortgage crisis, lol, fuck off

Every time I try to get into NFT stuff ten minutes later I end up on some page where I have to join some discord and then spam a bunch of people so that I can get whitelisted and there are like 1000 people in the discord going "i’m so excited for this project derp derp derp. Weeee! Fun!’ - it’s all very fucking depressing.

At the moment I’m ignoring the ones where you have to spam to whitelist because it seems like a red flag if they have to resort to that to get traction anyway. Also, obviously never read anything people write in the discord, that’s like reading YouTube comments.

Friendly update to make the haters salivate:

I’ve never minted a NFT from whitelist. It’s probably a big leak but if you hate that aspect of it, which i do, just skip it.

What if you could bribe politicians by gifting them an NFT that has a value below the threshold for allowable gifts and doing a pump and dump?

I believe the pump would technically be an in-kind contribution and the “usual and normal charge” for your NFT pump service would apply to the contribution limit, but YMMV.
