Yeah why buy decentralized crypto you can liquidate at will when you can buy… centralized… nothing… that you… can’t sell… made by the crypto kitty crew…
I mean there’s like… hundreds of dollars invested in that thread! Hundreds! You might even double your hundred one day, and then be allowed to withdraw 70% of it a couple months from now! Totally a great use of your time during the hottest crypto run in years. The no-coiners and literal former employees of shitcoins that populate that thread tell me it’s going to be the new bitcoin!
Everything has basically 10x in the past 5 days. And you can sell them on eBay or actually exchange for crypto offsite if you’re worried about withdrawals. Not encouraging anyone to invest who hasn’t already, but your post might be a little misinformed.
Lol what a load of garbage, most of us have account values that are like 50x our initial investment. I bought a pack for $14 last week and my account is worth more than $1000 this morning.
Cheapest way for a regular Joe to get in on some Bitcoin right now? What about to DCA? Even PayPal is letting you buy now. Or should I be looking at one of the other Cryptos that may be the “next” Bitcoin?
This would be pretty much play money vs. the rest of my asset allocation.
Have you read Paypal’s TOS in respect of digital assets? Are you sure I’m misinformed or are you just talking out of ignorance about something you learned about a week ago?
Ah yes. You can also trade your crypto unsecurely for this garbage. How come I never thought about that?!?!
Oh you’re going with the angle that technically a scumbag can chargeback on eBay and claim that the digital asset wasn’t delivered. Somehow millions of dollars in digital asset sales still manage to be processed successfully on eBay.
Anything you sell on eBay assumes some level of risk. You’re still completely ignorant on this subject and should walk away.
So your argument is that because every transaction assumes “some” risk therefore all “risk” is basically the same. Can’t beat that foolproof logic!
Paypal offers 0 protection and explicitly says they forbid sale of these on their platform but that doesn’t matter because “millions of dollars of digital assets have been sold” on Paypal before. That’s a totally viable long term strategy for real adults to sell thousands of dollars of collectibles, and totally not what a child with no investment experience would say.
But I have no idea what I’m talking about, with my decades of selling collectibles on ebay, or years researching digital assets, because you know someone that sold a $5 digital memory for $60 and is totally going to repeat that 10,000 times and become a millionaire.
Cool? Wtf is your point? No one in that thread isn’t aware there is risk involved. No one is claiming they are going to get rich from it, and we are telling new people to the thread to be cautious about putting money in.
My argument was that it was illiquid centralized fad garbage we see every crypto cycle to trick dumb dumbs with a get rich quick scheme and your counter was “nahhhh you can just sell them on ebay or for crypto, and I’m not encouraging anyone new but EVERYTHING has 10x in the past 5 days”.
When I pointed out that no, you can’t, your counter changed to “yeah but we all know it’s risky!?!?! and tell new people to be careful!!!” and of the two of us you’re still convinced I was the one spewing garbage.
Topshot can 5x by tomorrow and I’m still more correct than you are, DUCY?
I can’t sell them on eBay? Might want to alert all of the people who have successfully sold on eBay.
I can’t sell for crypto? Better tell all of the discord groups that are dedicated to this subject.
The slow withdrawal approval process is frustrating for sure, but the ability exists. People in this forum are slowly getting approved, and I have no doubt all will eventually. The NBA license is really valuable and they’re not going to let something they lent their name to exit scam people. The company behind this did also just receive $250M in funding for a $2B valuation.
Yes, there is still risk, but you’re overstating it and I don’t even know why? I would guess most of us in that thread have crypto investments too. Mine are up about 40% this month. They were up more until BTC and ETH crashed while you were lecturing to us all. Most of us in that thread also gamble too. My sports betting bankroll is up 100% this month. Most of us in that thread view the money we’ve put into topshot as part investment, part gamble. That money is up 700% for me this month.
Lol the baseball card thread is definitely the more funner one to be in right now; don’t nobody want to hear about the bloodbath in the crypto streets happening right now.
