The Crapto Thread

How the hell did this moron not get his ass to a non extradition country instead of confessing on national television? What a dope.

Rivermang: I hate these cryptobros

Also Rivermang, not not unsurprisingly: I like the one who is racist against Chinese people

Rivermang: lol crypto no regulations

Also Rivermang, not not unsurprisingly: how dare you get regulated in USA#1 and follow the protocols

Need to throw the SEC in prison for preventing him from giving this testimony. What the hell!

I don’t think the Bahamas people were going to let him leave.

But isn’t that outweighed by the fact that he’s incredibly weird and unlikable and also confessing to doing crimes every time he speaks? Like it’d be one thing if he was this roguish, charming devil who is going to charm the socks off the public and win their sympathy. Like Matthew McConaughey does the FTX fraud? Lock him up immediately and gag him and even then not guilty by reason of charm and handsomeness. But this guy has all the charm and believability of Bill Gates explaining his 2016 Jeffery Epstein bromance. And hoo boy that schtick wears awfully thin when you can’t buy hundreds of millions of dollars worth of PR a year like Gates does and S.B.F. did.

I think it’s more likely that normally it takes a lot of time to do discovery and take depositions to build a case. But here SBF is building the case for them.

Exactly! So why be all

He’s gonna testify about all his criming to Congress! Even if the feds don’t need anything more to charge him, why not give the whole team the day off, crack open a few beers and watch the testimony and laugh?

So the SEC complaint is separate from the criminal charges that were filed? The SEC is just seeking an injunction against him Doing Crypto in the future, right? Is there a copy of the criminal complaint out yet?

Is SBF estranged from his parents? This whole situation is monumentally stupid to begin with, but then when you find out both his parents are law professors at Stanfond this just breaks my brain for how he could wind up in such poor shape from a legal defense perspective. Only thing that possibly makes sense is that neither of his parents are even remotely in the picture and haven’t been for a while.

Also a CFTC action, apparently. Gonna need some note cards, push pins, and string to keep track of everything.
