The stole a substantial amount of money from rich people and made them look stupid. That and making the system look bad are like the only crimes anyone actually cares about in this country anymore.
You’re probably right that most of the politicians will survive the scandal, but probably not all of them and I could easily see Maxine being the scapegoat.
