The Confederacy of Donald J. Trump: A Confederacy of Dunces

So do I need to be worried about Trump still being president in February, or can I just assume he’ll incompetently flail around and waste his lame duck contesting the uncontestable?

This is the one good thing about him using the courts. Him and none of his people seem to be able to do more than one thing at once so they wont do as much damage as they could do otherwise. The bad thing is you have to trust the courts…

Trump right now reminds me of the end of a show I watched where they unmask the villain and he’s surrounded and he’s shouting his ideals for like 3 minutes and everyone is just staring at him waiting for himself to get all shouted out. Baby needs a nap

I mean there’s very, very little chance that Trump will be president in February, but if his crack legal team somehow manages to get a case to SCOTUS its not zero. He could get 5 votes because “originalism doesn’t say that all votes matter” or something right?

I can’t be the only one thinking its possible and its absolutely the plan of their side right now. I also don’t think he concedes at all until this plan is 100% incapable of working.

Wat.

There’s no path open whatsoever. Biden is going to win with two states to spare.

Trump is never going to concede. Ever. He’s going to keep saying he was robbed until the day he dies. Why would he admit to being a loser? He doesn’t want to and his idiot fanbase don’t want him to. This is going to be the next Benghazi, we’re going to get 17 different inquiries and 8000 stories on Fox News and none of it will amount to any concrete action.

? again my situation involves getting to the Supreme Court before the electors vote in 5 weeks.

I had another thought, what if trump’s scotus appointments were contingent on a pledge of personal loyalty? i.e. he James Comey’s them and says “I’ll give you your court seat on the condition you protect me personally at all costs if it comes to that”? Not like Alito and Thomas are ever voting no anyways right?

Its not impossible people! CharlieDayStringMapWall.jpg.

Again - if this happens the Floyd riots will look like a pleasant Sunday picnic. They all know this. The people have the ultimate power.

One path possibly leads the country to Civil War. The other leads to Joe Biden. Rs can tolerate Joe Biden and grift away as the opposition party.

But you’re just saying “get to the Supreme Court”. And do what? You might as well cut out the middleman and say Trump might still be President because there might be a straight up coup where the military marches into DC. That is more plausible to me at this point.

Biden is going to win in AZ, he has 270 without either of those states.

It’s not one of the movies where the monster isn’t really dead. It’s one of those movies where it fades to black and then there’s a scene “four years later” showing the protagonist in an idyllic life, single shot pan to a monster egg starting to hatch.

I had a dream last night that Republicans were all some kind of zombie monsters, and Mitch’s purple hand and face was the disguise slipping.

To me it’s always been the point of zombie movies that groups of people don’t tolerate outsiders or dissension and will stop at nothing force you to join them. Like married people harass single people to get married and so on.
