The Confederacy of Donald J. Trump: A Confederacy of Dunces

This is what a sanction award for filing a bad (patent) lawsuit looks like. There needs to be some sanctions in these Trump cases.

Is Trump gonna resign to get pardoned or not?

I don’t see that happening. His personality doesn’t allow it (why resign when you are convinced you won!), and I doubt he trusts Pence enough to do it.

Zero percent chance. He’s not going to get charged with anything by Biden’s administration. Why bargain for a pardon?

He will self-pardon then litigate it until he is either
A elected in 2024
B living abroad
C dead

B is likely cause it will be the states, particularly NY that will actually try to prosecute him.

Tell me again how Kemp is a favorite to win the republican nomination in 2022.

Because Trump is a lazy fat fuck who is going to have hundreds of grudges after his coup fails. The list of people he is promising to campaign against in growing by the day. Thus the odds of him actually bothering to campaign against Kemp in two years is going to be pretty minimal.

After nearly a dozen Republican senators said they plan to object to the certification of the vote on Wednesday, the vice president’s chief of staff, Marc Short, issued a carefully worded statement intended not to anger anyone.

“The vice president welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people on Jan. 6,” he said.

He doesn’t need to “campaign” against Kemp. He just needs to send a few tweets. See Sessions, Jefferson Beauregard.

This is kind of alarming:

The only explanations I can see are that Trump nefariously wants to either stop the US Attorney from doing something or make them do something. Buying a two-week reprieve from something until Biden’s USA is appointed doesn’t make a lot of sense, so it seems more likely to be the latter. But what?
