He could have stopped between holes to say something like Obama did and got criticized for that one time, but he couldn’t even do that. Not that it matters.

I know nothing matters, but can an impeached president be pardoned? I’m seeing stuff on Facebook that pardons don’t apply to impeachment.
Come on, man. You can’t apply this standard to him. He is the motherfucking President. Of course he is supposed to stop and do something even if he was opening presents with his kids. He needs to be intimately involved in figuring out what to do. This was a major fucking explosion. He needs to be briefed thoroughly, decide what can and can’t be communicated to the public to provide reassurance, maybe express some sympathy about all the people who were scared shitless by this thing. Pretty much anything other than rage tweeting and golf would have been fine.

I have an itching feeling dem senators would do fuck all in the opposite scenario. Maybe appoint some bipartisan committee to look into it while they call for the arrest and prosecution of any protestors.

Pardons don’t apply to impeachment as in he can’t get pardoned out of an impeachment.
They still apply to other crimes, so he can still be pardoned for anything else other than the impeachment.
However he shouldn’t be able to pardon himself for anything, based on the definition and usage of the word “grant”
