I don’t get this. Can’t all these people put in place by Trump just be just as easily replaced by Biden? Or has something been done to prevent that?

I can’t believe you guys think the people with actual power are going to let Donald Trump walk away from this. I don’t know how they’ll get him, but there’s just no fucking way they let him walk off with the GOP base here.
I mean it’s not going to magically get better when he isn’t president. He doesn’t know how to use the office to get anything real done. His grasp on the base is what he actually gets his power from. The office is protecting him to an insane degree, but from the perspective of the people who fund the GOP he remains more of less the same type of problem he is today.
Plus if there was ever a story that needed an ugly ending to prevent it from happening over and over again… the GOP base will be extremely vulnerable to this kind of shit for decades no matter what, but at least the ending of this time around won’t be ‘and then Donald Trump lived happily ever after’.
