Honestly the McCloskeys and Sandmann speaking is pretty jarring to me, even in the context of 2020. Their schtick has always been the defining thing about the Republican Party, but the gatekeepers that used to exist between the stick-in-the-eye racism and the public image of the party are just completely absent now.
