The gate number is hard to make out, but looks like Exx. UA1020, IAH-CUN departed gate E10 at 4:45PM. Unless he went to Cancun on the same flight at some other point in the last year, it’s him.

The fact that Ted Cruz can fly commercial without having someone throw a human feces spiked milk shake at him is proof that this country is much too polite. Absolutely none of his class of politicians should be able to go anywhere heavily frequented by the college educated without something really unpleasant happening.

I am pretty mild mannered IRL, and if I saw Ted Cruz in an airport lounge I would 100% approach him and give him a hard time. I would not raise my voice or threaten him but I would definitely make him uncomfortable, assuming he’s capable of that.

Doubtful. My dream airport lounge run-in would be with Susan Collins, who I would really like to light into and I think would feel it.
I would quietly sit near him and see if I could surreptitiously record his phone conversations. I would reassess if he is anywhere near a balcony.

I’ve had this conversation elsewhere about the importance of constituent services for members of Congress. We should be looking at how various Representatives, who are up for re-election earlier, are handling this crisis and seeing who is making themselves more vulnerable in 2022.
I’m just gonna drive by here and point out that “Person X can’t unilaterally change Thing Y therefore they are justified in not even trying” isn’t just a Republican line of thinking. Many Dems think that way as well, up to and including when Person X is the sitting President of the United States.
But yea, Erick “I am very smart” Son Of Erick is a complete buffoon and regularly contributes to the ‘performative drama’ that he pretends to hate.

Combining the crisis itself with the idiotic rhetoric of Texas Republicans, I can’t see how this can’t be great ammunition for Democratic campaigns in 2022. If Texas turns blue, its a whole new ballgame moving forward.
