The main thing that goes through my mind here is that Heidi Cruz married Ted because it would be great for her career.
I can’t think of another reason anyone would ever have sex with Ted Cruz much less procreate with him. He seems like one of the least fuckable men in America.
I know that line of thinking is sexist but I would feel exactly the same way if Ted were an equally odious woman with a husband who was an MD at GS.

Having given the matter due consideration, then candidate for president Donald J. Trump produced his well-known theory of Heidi+Ted. His judgement is somewhat uncomplimentary of her appearance.
That is funny, but Republicans donate more than Democrats. Not that this is explicitly Republican, but the biggest charity in the country is Lutheran Services in America (prolly very Conservative/Republican) at over $22B/year. The biggest charity I think is mostly liberal/Dem is 1/7th the size - United Way.
Conservative households give 30% more to charity.
I realize that there is legitimately good work being done by some religious organizations.
But calling 100% of religious donations as “charity” is pretty spurious imo.

Neither are 100% of non-religious donations. The left/liberals just shouldn’t break their arms patting themselves on the back about being the only people who do any good or care about people.
Go and help the homeless. Get your hands dirty. You’ll find most of the people doing that are religious and most of them are conservative.

My parents are conservative and religious, and I can guarantee that they’ve donated more time and money to disadvantaged people than I have on a year to year basis. I disagree with them about a lot of things, but they walk the walk. Since they’re evangelical boomers they are easily manipulated by redbaiting, atheist bashing, and pro life agitprop. That annoys me, but we all have blind spots.

Republicans have slightly more money on average, but from graph 15 in the charitable giving link I posted “conservative” households have 6% less income and donate 30% more.
