Swiatek is a beast. She sounds very balanced and eloquent and I think she’ll be the GOAT barring burnouts and injuries.

Maybe? I’ve watched a lot of her matches and interviews. It always comes up how she admires Nadal and afaik they’re good friends. The way and speed she talks about the game is just something else.

Down 3-6 on the breaker, Rafa summons the cheat code and steals the set. Still mostly on defense. Incredible shots from defensive positions. Z tightened just enough but mostly Rafa just took it late.

I’d be surprised if Zverev recovers from losing the first set. 6-3 up and serving in the tiebreaker, plays perfect serve and volley only to miss the volley by an inch. Then proceeds to hit a bunch of approaches to Nadal forehand, with the predictable result.

Those forehands by Nadal were just out of this world. I still hate how he takes like 45 seconds in between points every time he serves.
