Yeah I got a 500 error at some point yesterday and after it cleared the auto updating stopped happening.
This appears to be resolved.
I tried yesterday and today to do an automatic update, but it keeps generating an error when I do so. I haven’t experienced the problems that you’re talking about, but it could be related to the attempted update.
Hopefully will successfully update over the weekend.

This site looks fine for me on my phone, but it is totally borked on Firefox 139.0.1. It’s fine on Edge. Anyone else having similar issues?

I am on the public beta of iOS 26 and it has made posting on this site almost impossible. The text box almost never appears on screen. There is a new step requiring you to hit a checkmark before you go back to be able to hit reply, it’s a real mess. I sure hope they fix it before releasing the full version of the OS in September.
I never do the beta of an operating system. I never even do X.0. I wait for X.1.
